Angela Yon has been
an interior design artist for over 20 years.
Her original interest
started during her time employed as a
designer for Smallbone of Devizes who
were the pioneers of hand painted
kitchens in the 1980¨s. Later many of
her painting skills including marbling,
woodgraining Trompl’oil she learned at
the Leonard Pardon school of Decorating
in London.
During the 1990’s Angela
went on to establish and develop her own interior
design business in her hometown of
Reading, where apart from painting furniture
to commission and running decorative paint
workshops, she offered a full interior
design and decorating
service from design conception to
complete house makeovers.
Angela and her family came to Spain 6
years ago and has been living inland in
a very typical Spanish town called
Xativa, running a bar and guest house.
Apart from painting furniture in her
spare time for the local Spanish, she
has run many successful residential
paint workshops from her guest house.
Having sold her properties last year,
the decision to move to La Nucia was
easy, most of her work despite living
inland was bringing her closer to the
coast. My painted house has been
created, to cover the diverse services
she hopes to offer to an international
market.
From Angela’s four storey townhouse in
La Nucia, she has created a studio for
private viewing of her range of
second-hand painted furniture, and
beautifully marbled terracotta pots.
Stock will constantly change and in time
will include new furniture painted to
order. From her workshop Angela is
offering several decorative paint
courses for small groups for those
interested in the art of decorative
painting |
